In 2015, the 84th Texas Legislature established the Texas Bullion Depository (TXBD) as a secure, state-run alternative to private depositories and large financial institutions. Obverse Design

The obverse centers on a detailed relief map of the State of Texas, capturing the rugged and expansive topography that defines the region. Subtly placed near the inner curve of the Texas outline is the acronym TXBD (Texas Bullion Depository), positioned over a cannon.

Reverse Design

The reverse showcases the Great Seal–style Star of Texas, framed by a laurel and live oak wreath, symbols of strength, honor, and resilience. The composition is bold, clean, and unmistakably Texan.
