The Official 2025 State of Texas Gold Bullion Coin is a distinguished new release struck in the United States and created in partnership with the Texas Bullion Depository, the first state-administered precious metals depository in the nation. This official state bullion issue honors Texas heritage and reflects the state’s enduring commitment to independence, security, and sound money.

As part of this historic program, United States Gold Bureau is proud to serve as an Authorized Dealer of official Texas Bullion Depository products, making these state-sanctioned gold bullion coins accessible to investors and collectors nationwide.

A Coin Rooted in Texas History & the Texas Bullion Depository

In 2015, the 84th Texas Legislature established the Texas Bullion Depository (TXBD) as a secure, state-run alternative to private depositories and large financial institutions. Operating as a division of the Texas Comptroller’s Office, the Depository reflects the state’s independent character by providing secure precious-metal storage with state oversight, transparency, and accountability.

In 2025, the Texas Bullion Depository expanded this mission by offering official State of Texas precious-metal products. The 2025 State of Texas Gold Bullion Coin represents a foundational release within this initiative, crafted to exacting purity standards and designed to honor the Depository’s role in safeguarding real, tangible assets.

Design & Symbolism

This Official State Coin of Texas features a unified, state-driven design celebrating Texas identity, independence, and leadership in precious metals through the Texas Bullion Depository.

Obverse

The obverse presents a detailed relief map of the State of Texas, highlighting the rugged topography and expansive landscape of the Lone Star State. Within the inner curve of the outline appears the acronym TXBD (Texas Bullion Depository) positioned above a cannon, symbolizing Texan independence and the protection of hard assets. A lone star centered beneath the map reinforces the coin’s identity as an official Texas tribute.

Encircling the design is the inscription:

Reverse

The reverse features a Great Seal–inspired Star of Texas framed by a laurel and live oak wreath, symbols of honor, resilience, and the state’s enduring spirit.

• Bottom: FRIENDSHIP, echoing the Caddo-derived meaning of “tejas,” the origin of the state’s name
