1903 $1 Gold Louisiana Purchase: Jefferson & McKinley 2-Coin SET CAC PCGS MS66

The 1903 Louisiana Purchase Gold dollars were an inventive idea dreamt up by Farran Zerbe with the coins used to help fund the Expo dedicated to the centennial of the Louisiana Purchase. Originally designed with Thomas Jefferson (the President at the time of the Purchase) on the obverse, the assassination of McKinley in 1902 spurred a memorial coin in his honor. Offered here are both types in premium gem condition, both CAC certified.
