It is with a heavy heart that the U.S. Gold Bureau family announces the passing of one of our close partners, Mr. Michael "Miles" Standish.
Miles spent over 40 years being a pioneer of the numismatic community, having been the first full-time grader of the grading service PCGS and also a Vice President for NGC. Miles was an accomplished author with numerous award-winning articles and books, such as Morgan Dollar: America's Love Affair with a Legendary Coin and American Silver Eagles: A Guide to the U.S. Bullion Coin Program.
Miles' list of achievements in our industry is voluminous and ultimately led him to be voted by his industry peers as one of the top 10 most influential people from 1960-2000.
Miles partnered with U.S. Gold Bureau to offer exclusive signature products as well as to share his incredible insights into the industry to further advance the knowledge for our valued clients. He will be deeply missed by all of us here and by the industry as a whole.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, and we will honor his spirit by continuing his mission of educating the masses about the joys of collecting and investing in precious metals.
