Description:

Goldbacks are the first physical, fully-interchangeable, gold money of the new millennium. Designed for small transactions – Goldbacks accommodate payments wherever recognized as an authorized medium of exchange or barter. The Nevada Goldbacks are available in five convenient denominations: 1, 5, 10, 25, and 50. One Goldback foil note contains between 1/1000 - 1/20 troy ounce of fine gold. Through the process of vacuum deposition within a proprietary polymer coating, the Goldback itself consists of 24-karat gold.

Highlights:

  • Contains 1/20 troy oz of .999 pure gold
  • Obverse design: Libertas, or Liberty, the capstone Virtue design of each U.S. based Goldback series, makes her second appearance here under a starry Nevada night sky. Here, in the peaks of the Sierra Nevadas, she is depicted as biblical Eve, mother of the human race, patterned somewhat after a statue of Aphrodite from Ceasar’s Palace, Las Vegas. She is championed here by the artist as a symbol of the biblical story about a free woman who exercised her agency and power of choice to bring about the human race.
  • Made in the United States
  • Individual businesses in the state of Nevada make their own call whether or not to accept Nevada Goldback Gold Notes
