2023 1oz Gold Philharmonic Coin Description:

The 2023 1oz Gold Philharmonic coin is famous worldwide thanks to its .9999 fine Gold content and stunning design of the Musikverein with instruments such as the cello, violin, harp, horn, and bassoon featuring on the reverse of the coin. With a classic and recognizable design, this coin is a reasonable investment opportunity for both precious physical metal and musical coin collectors worldwide.

First offered to collectors in October 1989, the Gold Philharmonic is minted from .9999 fine Gold sits alongside the Silver and Platinum editions of the coin, also available for purchase. This coin is one of the most cost-effective methods of adding a Gold coin to your investment portfolio.

Since its launch in 1989, the Gold Philharmonic coin has retained its stunning design, which is based on the Vienna Musikverein's Golden Hall. On the obverse of the coin is the Golden Hall itself, alongside the words 'REPUBLIK OSTERREICH,' the coin's gold purity, the year of issue, and the coin's denomination, which will be either 100 euros or 2000 schilling. The reverse of the coin features instruments such as the cello, harp, Vienna horn, bassoon, and violin, which all make up the Philharmonic Orchestra.

Features of the 2022 1oz Gold Philharmonic:

  • Coin guaranteed by the Austrian Mint
  • Contains an ounce of .9999 fine Gold

In February 2008, the Gold Philharmonic coin was joined by a Silver version of the same purity and denomination. Featuring the same designs that make up the Gold edition of the coin, the silver coin is made from .999 fine Silver. A .9995 fine Platinum edition joined the line-up in 2016.
