Investor's Guide
In celebration of the 35th Anniversary of the Endangered Species Act and the Bald Eagle being removed from the federal list of threatened and endangered species, the U.S. Mint issued three commemorative coins to honor that achievement. This $5 gold coin was one of those three.
The obverse features two young bald eagles perched on a tree branch with the inscriptions "LIBERTY", "IN GOD WE TRUST", and "2008".
The reverse is a detailed replica of the current Great Seal of the U.S with "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" & "FIVE DOLLARS" inscibed.
