Minted in 1882 from the Carson City mint, this Morgan Silver Dollar was professionally graded in MS63 by PCGS. Like other silver coins minted before 1965, the Morgan Silver Dollar was minted using 90% silver. Minted in the United States from 1878 to 1904 and once again in 1921, the Morgan Silver Dollar was the first silver dollar minted since the Seated Liberty dollar was canceled by the passage of the Coinage Act of 1873. George T. Morgan designed the Morgan Silver Dollar which incorporates an eagle with wings extended on the reverse of the coin while the obverse features a depiction of Liberty in profile facing left. The Morgan Silver Dollar is one of the most collectible coins in United States history. These coins were considered rare until 1962 when a stockpile was found in a vault at the Philadelphia Mint. The Morgan Silver Dollar has many different dates and varieties.
