In 2014, Asahi Refining acquired the Johnson Matthey Salt Lake City operations and greatly enhanced their operations. Asahi Refinery uses x-ray fluorescence to test all of its precious metals which allows the technicians to produce products of superior quality.

This silver bar contains 10 oz of .999 fine Silver. The obverse is stamped with Asahi Refining SLC mark and includes the weight and purity. The reverse is a blank smooth surface
