This magnificent Australian kangaroo is struck from 99.99% pure gold in high relief with a beautiful proof finish that has mirror-like surfaces. It is a prominent numismatic collectible from The Perth Mint's trademark coin series. The kangaroo, Australia's most recognizable mammal, has been featured on Perth Mint superior grade gold coins since 1989. The Australian Kangaroo coin series, has a distinguished global reputation for quality, purity, and design.

The 2023 coin's design features a kangaroo peering over it's right shoulder. In the background you can see a eucalyptus tree and a grass tree. The word 'Kangaroo' is inscribed on the top right of the coin, and on the top left is the coin's year, weight and purity. The 'P' mintmark can be found under the tree on the left side of the coin. 

The obverse of the 2023 2oz Gold Australian Kangaroo depicts Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's effigy designed by renowned designer Jody Clarke. The dates of her reign and the coin's monetary denomination are also inscribed on the obverse of the coin.
