Description:

Purchase the 2015 $1 Silver American Eagle MS69 NGC to add an American classic to your collection. The United States Government began striking these 1 oz silver coins in 1986 and has produced new ones each year since. The 2015 issue has been assessed as having a Mint State 69 by the respected Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). Each Silver Eagle coin has a face value of $1 and comprises one troy oz of .999 fine silver, that's 31.1 grams.

The obverse of the coin features a version of the classic image of Liberty striding towards a rising sun, cradling branches of laurel and oak in her arm, which represent military and civil Glory, the stars and stripes flow beside her. Designed by Adolph A. Weinman, this much-loved image was originally incorporated on the half dollar struck between 1916 and 1947. The words "LIBERTY" and "IN GOD WE TRUST" plus the year of issue "2015", are also struck on the coin. The reverse of the coin was designed by John Mercanti, 12th chief engraver at the U.S. Mint and features a spread-winged eagle carrying arrows and an olive branch in its talons, along with a heraldic shield. 13 stars representing the 13 original colonies are also shown, along with the wording "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," " 1 OZ FINE SILVER - ONE DOLLAR" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."
