What is Palladium?

Discovered in 1803 by William Hyde Wollaston, Palladium is part of the Platinum Group Metals (PGM). All of the PGMs are rare and are highly sought after due to their use in a quarter of all manufacturing processes. Palladium has the lowest melting point of these metals and is the least dense of all the PGMs. It is utilized in the electronics and automotive industry, plus medicine, dentistry, a range of chemical applications, water treatments, and hydrogen purification. Palladium has proven an excellent investment due to its rarity and high demand in this wide variety of industries.
