Description:

There is no face featured on British currency more frequently than Britannia, aside from the reigning monarch. Since the union of the crowns about 350 years ago, this emblem of the British people has been a part of British tradition. It first appeared on British coins in the first century AD.

100 oz British Silver Britannia Bar Highlights:

  • Arrives individually packaged or within a master box with 5 bars total
  • 1st release of Britannia’s figure on a Royal Mint bullion bar
  • Contains 100 Troy oz of .999 pure silver.
  • The obverse face includes a new design of Britannia.
  • Reverse side includes the Royal Mint’s logo with identifying markers.
  • Designs from renowned engraver Jody Clark.
  • Eligible for Precious Metal IRAs.

During the union of the thrones of England and Scotland, Britannia was first used on precious metals in Britain. Following the merger of the two kingdoms, Britannia was selected as the representation of the new United Kingdom on coins produced by the Royal Mint.

Britannia is still a well-known image on the nation's bullion coins made of gold and silver today. You have the option to buy these 100 oz British Silver Britannia Bars in little or large quantities. The master box option comes with five bars totaling 500 Troy oz of silver, and each bar is kept in its own box.

For the Royal Mint, Jody Clark created both the obverse and reverse of the new Britannia Bars. In addition to creating the 10 designs in the Queen's Beast Collection from the mint, Clark is renowned for creating the fifth-generation picture of Queen Elizabeth II, which is now featured on British currency as of 2016.

The Britannia design on the obverse of the 100 oz British Silver Britannia Bars is brand-new yet drawn on classical art design principles. She is shown in right-profile relief and is wearing a huge Corinthian helmet. She has a trident on her left hand to command the waters, and she has a British flag-adorned shield in her right hand to ward off intruders.
