The first Morgan Silver Dollar was struck on March 11, 1878. It is currently on display at the Hayes Library and Museum in Fremont, Ohio.
You can own a piece of history with the purchase of a certified pre-1921 Morgan Silver Dollar, direct from The United States Gold Bureau.
There were millions of Morgan Dollars minted, and many aren't worth much more than the current price of raw silver (around $20 per ounce). Certified rare coins like the ones on this page, though, have had their quality preserved and are worth significantly more, depending on their exact condition, as graded by PCGS or NGC.
