2010 Platinum American Eagle

The $100 2010 Platinum American Eagle coin sold out from the U.S. Mint in less than three days. With a total of only 10,000 coins produced, this coin has similar mintage figures to the 2009 version of the Platinum American Eagle, which has soared in value since being released.

Of the 10,000 total coins, only a very small percentage will be graded in a perfect Proof 70 condition. As an official dealer for the U.S. Mint, the U.S. Gold Bureau has gained access to an exclusive and limited stock of the .9995 fine 2010 Platinum American Eagles in Proof 70 condition, which is available for a short time only.

The 2010 version of the Platinum Eagle is the second of six coins that celebrate the principles of American democracy as found in the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution. It was designed by Donna Weaver and sculpted by Phebe Hemphill. The front features the traditional view of Lady Liberty by John Mercanti and the reverse features a blindfolded Lady Liberty holding the scales of justice.
